The Lake Is Calling And The Conleys Must Go!
It's been five days since my last blog post and some readers might have wondered what happened to us. On Thursday morning, I received a text from my Aunt Kelly in Vero Beach, FL. "We are headed to a lake house in Cashiers, NC tomorrow for a week and you all are welcome to come for a day or night." She didn't have to say another word. We had been so anxious to get away. The last time we left our home was to visit my mom and step-dad in Greenville in early March - before COVID-19. We have been very cautious and headed to a lake house with family seemed like the perfect way to getaway from home but still be away from groups/crowds.
Here is a view of this stunning, secluded home from Lake Glenville:
We arrived Friday evening and were greeted by Aunt Kelly and Uncle Bruce, and my cousins Annie and Bella - they each had a friend with them. Bruce took us all out on the boat right away. We spent the weekend visiting waterfalls on the lake, tubing, swimming off the dock, relaxing, enjoying each other's company, and bonfires! It was a perfect way to spend Father's Day weekend. We are so grateful, blessed, and spoiled to have such amazing family!!!
Thanks Kelly and Bruce! We love you to pieces!!
